Did You Know Olws Can Make a Nest Under a Sidewalk?

October 17, 2009 § 1 Comment

Even though I went running at 6 a.m., we are experiencing an unseasonably warm October so it was already in the high 60’s by the time I started. It was a decent eight-mile run; nothing too exciting. I thought the highlight of the run was going to be the new playlist I put together – which turned out to be pretty good – but when I was about 2/3 done, I came across two baby owls who decided to pop out of their nest under sidewalk (next to a dirt lot) to say hello to me. They were absolutely adorable and gave my run a fun ending. It was yet another check in the “win” column for nixing the treadmill and hitting the pavement!
