Fun Finds Friday

It’s Friday! That must mean its time to share a few fun finds I came across this week. Enjoy!

The 137th Kentucky Derby is next weekend (May 7, 2011) and my husband and I will be attending a wonderful charity event to watch the big race. This is an event I look forward to every year and I am so appreciative for the invite. Every woman knows that the Derby is all about the hat. HATagories.com (love the name!) is a fun site I found while searching for ideas for a hat. I like that they offer a ton of great hats in different price ranges.

How fun are these yellow stripes? A big thanks to A Subtle Revelry for sharing this photo (via Superkitina)! What a fun DIY project to add to the list.

Still on the hunt for redectorating ideas, I found these lovely items on etsy. The mirror is small, but I think it would look lovely on an accent wall. I love the rustic and vintage look of this buffet! If I only had a bigger entertaining area to fit something like this in…

Inspired by Earth Day last week, I found this neat alarm clock runs that runs on water! bedol makes lots of funky versions of their water clocks, but I liked the clean simple look of this one.

That’s all for this week. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Making Some Changes

Thanks for stopping by!
Please pardon the constant changes to the appearance of my site. Apparently, I can’t make up my mind and I keep making tweaks to it. I promise I’ll stick to something soon.

Fun Finds

April 23rd, 2011 § 2 Comments

It’s been a while. Too long. I’ve been thinking about putting together a post, but I was either too busy, too unfocused or not motivated enough. whatever my reasoning, I’ve been gone for too long!

Lately, I’ve been feeling inspired by a lot of wonderful bloggers who cover everything from food and photography, to crafts and decorating. So, I thought I’d share some great finds that I’ve come across in hopes that you find some inspiration, too!

This wasn’t posted on a blog, but I got a coupon in my email yesterday for $25 off a $50 purchase, so I thought I’d take a peek at Kirkland’s website to see what they have. I saw this lovely chest and I instantly started thinking about how I could update my desperately under-decorated master bedroom. I love the light blue color and the scalloped edging on the bottom. Plus, it’s affordable!

At Taylor Takes a Taste, I found this great Blood Orange and Blackberry Sangria recipe that I can’t wait to try! My family will be having a picnic-style brunch to celebrate Easter that I think this would be perfect for.

And while we’re on the subject of brunch, Bree of bakedbree.com posted a recipe for these delicious-looking mini quiche. What I love about the recipe is that she makes them without pie crust and uses bread instead. I can’t wait to try it with a herbed foccacia bread I bought at the farmer’s market.

Well, thanks for letting me share some of these great ideas. I think I am going to make it more of a habit to post these types of ramblings here!

Where Am I?
